..and on the 7th day
It started with a request, "Trevor keep an eye out for a good GS for me while your down south!?"
Time passes but Trevor finds the right one for me. The purchase is made and then the fun begins. Title? Title? who needs a title? I do! The process is a loooooong one, that is a story in itself....
Countless travel plans are made and cancelled for various reasons, sickness, work, weather, blah, blah, blah, but 327 days from day of Purchase and the 1960 GS is in my Garage.
4000 kms (1/2 pulling an empty trailer) are travelled through barren lands ( Montana, Wyoming and Some of Colorado can be Classic tumble weed states) but my travels confirm that Alberta truly has some of the worst I have driven!
I also discovered that the roads that I travelled belong to Harleys and Cruisers riden by great people always willing to chat and greet along the way...
Another high mark was driving the "going to the sun" road in Montana with my Vespa, but sadly it was being trailered! Perhaps some day I will return and ride it properly!
A few choice people are responsible for the new projected that awaits me and for this I'm very thankful. Trevor, my Bro, and a few choice people that work at Sportique scooters in Denver. Thank you!
Now I must order some parts! is there anything better than a project!???

Very exciting Angelo, congrats. It's nice to see that patience has rewarded you-well deserved! I hope to be making a similar trip very soon. I have traveled The Road To The Sun (Logan's Pass) many times, but this next time will be Li150 SPECIAL Can't wait to see your new scoot Angelo.

Some kid in the mid 60's made a mistake and found an old rattle can in pops garage! It will not live the rest of it's life in this colour!jaelee wrote:pics...or it didn't happen

There was some creative wiring done to it about 40 years ago, but with the help of the Vespa guru I'm hoping to hear it run before the cases are cracked open for a look see inside, with 17,000 original miles on it, I'm sure it will need a "freshing up"!david wrote:So, is it a runner? Or are there issues to sort out?

It's the most complete bike I have started with so it is a real treat for me (and most of the missing peices have already been sourced) I'm very excited! thanksYarko wrote:Fantastic news, hopefully it's all and more that you thought it would be.
