Ugh

Post by jbcollier »

I am starting again on the 90ss and I prepared an album of frame photos for a chap in England to look at. Here they are for your viewing pleasure:

John,

Which measurements do you want on the VMA1 frame? I don't recall is we discussed this before.

Just between the top of the steering column and the cowling where the seat sits. I have dug up my SS frame. How about you pop over some time and we compare them?

35.5cm from the front of the seat cowl to the steering column just under the top cap lip.

I can bring it by anytime on the weekend for more detailed stuff if your around.

Thanks Kevin. I think your once-over-lightly might have tweaked your frame as that is quite a bit shorter distance than my ss.

Easy to fix. Just put a jack in there and tweak it back.

I took the seat off for hopefully a more accurate measurement.
approx 37.4cm from the steering column to the center of the seat bolt.

My Brother in law's workmate has a Blue badge like mine (different color). I'll ask for the same measurement if he still has it.

John,

I got a response from a fella in North Carolina who has the same VMA1T as mine, he measured between the steering column and seat cowl and he got 35.5cm as well.

What are the chances of getting a measurement off of Daarens SS at the poker run? I wonder if there is a way to measure around the tool box.

Well, it wouldn't surprise me if my ss frame is out.
