What's up, Scooter folks?

Post by LibertineAudrey »

Hey everyone, remember me?!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Last season, I did not nearly enough riding and club stuff. I would like to change that this year. As it is, Sparkle Motion needs a little TLC that I require some help with.

Is anyone interested in having a scooter Par-tay? In exchange for helping me with me scooter, I will provide sandwiches, treats and beverages of the non-alcoholic type. Your place or mine!

As it is right now, I mostly want to figure out what I actually need for parts, make a list and put in an order and then have it ready before spring. I'm guessing there would need to be at least two dates.

Have a happy New Year everyone!

The motorcycle show is on the weekend of the 13, 14 and 15.

This Sunday (8th)?

The weekend after the show (21 & 22)?

I'm guessing that's kind of up to John... My garage is poorly lit, not heated, and I probably don't have enough tools... But miracles have still been pulled off here.

Can you give us a run down of what you think needs attending to?

Audrey, you are always welcome to use my garage. I have heat, lights, a lift, basic hand tools, music, and a cappuccino machine 8)

Well, it leaks a lot of oil of all sorts of different colours from both sides of the bike, and mostly I would like that looked at so that I can continue to keep it in the garage.

I need a new rear shock, so I would like to make sure I don't need additional parts to ordering that.

I would like my carb looked at and my cables looked at just to make sure they're going to be rally ready next year.

My rear signals have ceased to work.

I'm sure there is a couple of other things that I can't think of right now...

So, yeah. I mean, it still ran as well as ever the last time I rode it, but it just seems like things are slowly disintegrating :O

Thanks so much for the offer David!

I am available either early Sunday morning till 11 am, or, later in the afternoon, say, after 1:30ish. Doesn't matter where but it probably makes more sense to go to the scooter than cart the scoot somewhere else.

The afternoon would be better for me. I like the idea of not loading it! But if it makes it easier on everyone else it's certainly doable
